Sea kayaking in Sardinia

Sea kayaking in Spargi, Maddalena archipelago (Sardinia)
Sea kayaking in Spargi, Maddalena archipelago (Sardinia)

The Maddalena Archipelago... Islands, and more islands

Come discover the Maddalena Archipelago and its turquoise waters. Its sandy depths give the impression of navigating through distant lagoons. Meandering in these translucent waters is like being suspended, or flying above the bottom of the sea. Navigation is pleasant thanks to the many route combinations available in this natural maze, created by dozens of islands and islets that are all close to one another.

We chose to install our base camp near the village of Palau, on the Baia Saraceno campground, because of its proximity to the water and to the Maddalena Archipelago. From the campground, the liveliness of the village, the port and the small Sardinian restaurants are only a few minutes away by foot.

As all bivouacs are prohibited on the beaches of Maddalena National Park during the high season, we offer a 6 days of navigation to explore the archipelago’s islands, such as Budelli, Santa Maria, Razzoli, Caprera or Spargi as well as the beautiful site of Capo Testa (West cost), Cala di Volpe (East cost) or another locations on the mainland of Sardinia, which are all magnificent locations to kayak and to take advantage of the emerald waters.

When you’re not kayaking (4.0 to 5.0 hours per day), you’ll have time off to discover the archipelago’s trails, as well as sunbathe, swim and snorkel. Or, if you’re really motivated, you can perfect your kayaking skills by working on abilities such as balancing, paddling and rolling.

We hope that you’ll appreciate this format, which is different from our usual trips that are done in a totally autonomous and itinerant manner.
